I combine a decade and a half of experience in startups and high growth technology companies with years of experience in scientific research to bring my clients a rigorous, research driven approach to developing their growth strategy and coaching their product teams. My clients include startups looking for help to build and scale their businesses, growing companies planning new product launches, and established companies looking for digitally driven innovation of legacy products. I also teach Product Management at NYU Stern School of Business and host the Product Science Podcast.

I am passionate about agile, lean, and design thinking methodologies as well as data science, behavioral psychology, systems thinking, and process engineering. I help teams both experienced and new to these techniques understand the how and why of best practices, coaching them to improve their performance and effectiveness in identifying valuable problems to solve, designing intuitive solutions, delivering well-built software, and tracking and communicating outcomes to the business stakeholders.

Prior to founding H2R Product Science, I was Group Product Owner at Shutterstock where my accomplishments included leading the teams that launched Shutterstock Editor, the first Shutterstock product that went beyond finding and downloading stock assets to providing editing tools to make it easy for nondesigners to create beautiful designs, making the case to shutdown Skillfeed, and developing a plan to leverage technology across business units with separate tech stacks.

Before that I spent 3 years as Senior Product Manager at MediaMath, where I experienced the thrills and challenges of working in a scaling startup as the company delivered 100% year over year revenue growth and grew from 140 to 800+ people.

While there, I led the team that successfully launched the first phases of replatforming for TerminalOne, MediaMath’s big data ad tech platform, while rolling out a new user interface which users described as 10x better and partners at Facebook called the best interface in the ad management business at the time. As a number of tech teams transitioned to the new stack, I took on a leadership role in sharing best product management practices as we scaled our high-growth product and technology organization. I then took on leading the user experience team, establishing continuous discovery practices and design systems and partnering with our web components engineering team develop them.

I have also taught college chemistry labs and performed research in complex fluids and medical imaging, worked on tech projects with the NYC government, joined the founding team at an early stage startup, and helped transform an existing company to become a mobile health platform. I hold a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and live in New York City.
